Founded in 1948 by Mr. Antonio Cadarso, Grupo Cadarso began its journey in the distribution of watches and jewellery, establishing itself as a benchmark in the sector.
In 1996, the Group diversified its activity with the acquisition of Hotel Condes de Barcelona, marking its entry into the hospitality and gastronomy sectors and extending its commitment to excellence into the world of hospitality and fine dining.

1948. Fundación del Grupo

Mr. Antonio Cadarso founded Grupo Cadarso, launching Condal watch straps and beginning its journey in the distribution of watches in Spain.
The Group also introduced its own brand, Radiant, one of the first Spanish-Swiss watchmaking brands.

1968. Expansion into Watchmaking

Agreements with international brands were consolidated and RELUSA (Relojería de Lujo S.A.) was founded. The distribution of the Swiss luxury brand Patek Philippe began, strengthening the company’s market position. (1968-1998)

1973. INTERSA and LONGINES Distribution

INTERSA was founded in 1973, starting its activity with the exclusive distribution of the prestigious Swiss brand Longines. This strategic partnership remained in place until 1998.

1974. GERESA and its Alliance with SEIKO

GERESA was founded and acquired the distribution of brands belonging to the Seiko Watch Corporation Group: Seiko, Pulsar, Lorus and Seiko Clocks.

1994. Incorporation of IWC and ZENITH (1994–2003)

INTERSA strengthened its positioning in the high-end watchmaking market with the incorporation of two renowned Swiss brands: IWC and Zenith. Their distribution until 2003 further consolidated the Group’s presence in the luxury watch segment and enhanced its reputation within the industry.

1996. Hotel Condes de Barcelona

Operations began at Hotel Condes de Barcelona, owned by Grupo Cadarso, located in one of Barcelona’s most prestigious areas, Passeig de Gràcia.

1999-2008. Nike Timing

The distribution of Nike sports watches broadened the product offering and expanded the company’s reach in the market. (1999-2008)

2000-2015. FOSSIL Joint Venture

Creation of the joint venture Fossil S.L. for the distribution of fashion licences including Emporio Armani, DKNY, Diesel, Fossil and Michael Kors.

2002-2013. BREIL

Joint venture with Binda Italia, following its role as official distributor. (2002-2013).

2004-2014. New Licences

Collaborations with V&L and Custo to design, produce and distribute watches and jewellery. (2004-2014).

2006. Opening of Lasarte Restaurant

In January 2006, Lasarte Restaurant opened under the direction of Martín Berasategui, becoming one of the country’s most prestigious restaurants within a few years.

2007. Merger of INTERSA and GERESA

INTERSA merged with GERESA, unifying both structures into a single watchmaking division. From that point on, all Group brands were managed under a unified distribution entity.

2008. TOUS Watches

Creation of the TOUS WATCHES joint venture for the design, manufacture and distribution of the brand’s watch collections.

2012. VICTORINOX

Tous Watches acquired the distribution of the Swiss brand Victorinox, strengthening its position in the watchmaking sector.

2012-2023. NIXON & ICE WATX

The distribution of Ice-Watch and Nixon expanded the company’s appeal in fashion and lifestyle, attracting a younger audience.

2014. MORELLATO

Launch of Morellato Spain distribution, responsible for the brands Morellato, Gioielli, Maserati and Morellato Cinturini.

2014. Launch of MARTÍN BERASATEGUI Catering

Grupo Cadarso expanded its gastronomic offering with the launch of its catering business under the Martín Berasategui brand, extending its philosophy of quality, creativity and innovation to new spaces and experiences.

2014. ILG Group

Start of the partnership with ILG Group, distributing the brands POLICE and TIMBERLAND.

2016. EUROCRONO

Acquisition of EUROCRONO, securing the distribution of the GUESS and GC brands in Spain and Portugal. These licences are currently managed under GERESA and CERTORA.

2016. Renovation and Opening of MONUMENT HOTEL 5* GL

In March 2016, Monument Hotel opened its doors following an extensive two-year renovation, transforming the historic Casa Enric Batlló (formerly Hotel Condes de Barcelona) into a five-star grand luxury hotel. Its opening marked the arrival of a new benchmark for luxury and haute gastronomy on Barcelona’s Passeig de Gràcia.

2017. Third Michelin Star – LASARTE Restaurant

In 2017, Lasarte became the first restaurant in Barcelona to be awarded three Michelin stars, recognising its culinary excellence, consistency and capacity for innovation, under the direction of Martín Berasategui with Paolo Casagrande leading the kitchen team.

2024. TIMEX Group

Start of the distribution of Philipp Plein, Timex and Versace.

2025. New Brands Added to the Portfolio

GERESA expanded its brand portfolio with the addition of Aston Martin, part of the Timex Group, as well as the jewellery brands Coeur de Lion and Qudo. In addition, GERESA incorporated the distribution of DODO, a brand belonging to the KERING Group, becoming the first country in which DODO operates through an external distributor. This milestone further strengthens the company’s presence in the premium jewellery and accessories segment.
